I’m still shocked he removed it as the lead single even though it was smart.

I’m not sure if he would fully remove it from the album or not.

This album has either 2 results:

1. It gets lots of love from hip hop Twitter crowd, it goes #1 with bundles

2. It gets only love from Cudi’s core fanbase, hip hop Twitter crowd pans it as trash

Either result will be interesting to see the chain reaction of events unfolding

his core fans will love it and he has a lot of core fans
others will hate but they will come around in a few years

No cudi fan should care about anything but their own opinions. There’s going to be people who press play on this project solely to hate because of Kanye and his legion of sheep.

Personally I think this music is aite for Cudi, I still wish he would go back to making alternative hip hop instead of trying to “compete” as he says in the mainstream

I remember when he was performing with Trav in 2016 after rehab at ComplexCon he’s on stage like “I’m too old for this s***” which he really wasn’t, and now 7 years later he decides it’s time to go full mainstream sonically lol

Imagine he makes tracks like Dream Time Machine or Melting in 2023, would be crazy…

“In Love” comes to mind as a recent Cudi gem in that vein
