Third listen and I hate to say it this project is bad. Keep in mind that X is in my top 5 and IMO one of the greatest to ever grace the mic in terms of energy, his story, his personality and his demons.

The production is horrendous. I always thought Swizz was extremely overrated and this proves things. To me, a lot of his success musically has been due to the skill of the emcee of his beats that have the ability to rap over anything.

Back to the album, the beat selection did not play to the strengths of X’s current vocal ability. Overall his lyrics are good but the music and mixing renders it very hard to listen to.

This felt like a bad attempt of a compilation type DJ Khalid album that featured X.

My favourite songs are Take Control and Letter to my Son.

Regrettably this might go down as the worst major release this year.

There's some trash Swizz beats on here but I don't think it's entirely his fault for the album sounding like s***, he was barely involved with Undisputed and that album had the same sound issues, whoever has been mixing/mastering the last DMX albums needs to lose their job asap
