When he was still with Sony and especially around the Doris era, the label tried to set him up with people that would help him make hits. Apparently there was even a song with robin thicke but he scrapped all that stuff and refused to go that route

Used to really want this but I think it would’ve aged horribly & stunted his growth a lot I’m grateful for the path he chose instead

Ugh… I wasn’t on KTT back then but I was browsing forums and blogs and then Doris leaked, I bootlegged that on an old Windows XP… I remember times so vividly.
