rock music been using this naming system for a minute (postpunk, posthardcore etc) its kinda unfair to ppl like trav and carti when they gotta get lumped in with trap like gucci or TI when they're adding a new spin on it

it would be fair to try and create a sub-genre if there were enough examples of it. we are mostly just subjected to generic garbage.

too few artists actually follow this pursuit, to the point where when we do see it, it feels more like an elevated individual than a whole new genre.
