Much respect for standing his ground. It’s only that one side of Twitter who is in shambles. Everyone else from my timeline seems to be level headed which includes black women.

If you don't mind I'm gonna give you a long response to not just inform you but hopefully others.

It could be directed towards Noname, but given the timing of the release and reading what was said it could also apply to black women as many black women have the same energy as Noname due to everything going on.

Truth be told, black women, Noname included, are just rightfully venting their frustrations of being black women in America. Feeling like they always have to be the ones to educate niggas about s*** they should kinda know already. Feeling like it's the world against them and they don't have the full support of black men.

As a black man , I've just been
    1. Letting these women have their time to air out their anger. Much of it is very deserved.
    2. Listening to what they're saying, understanding and reflecting on it.
    3. Not getting in my feelings and try to "But queen" these women because I know exactly the kinda niggas they're referring to, and it doesn't apply to me.

What Cole is doing is pretty lame. And while yeah, I'm sure it comes from a good place, now ain't the time to "big bro" these women...honestly that's probably the very LAST thing you should do if you are trying to support black women during this.

I'm not gonna lie, I've been seeing black women going harder than men when it comes to mobilizing and organizing s*** that's tryna help protect our black asses. Honestly, there's kinda always been a history of black women doing more than niggas when it comes most civil rights and social movements. So to try and "school" a black woman and how to educate people, and in regards to Noname who has literally been going out of her way to educate people in a fun and inclusive way with her book club that has been steadily gaining more attention throughout the year, it's like...Cole tryna "mansplain" s*** to Noname, or black women in general, really couldn't be a more obtuse.

    Hope this sheds some light.

can't get any more simple and plain than this brother. thank you for doing what i'm no longer willing to on here, niggas are ignorant. if they don't get it, then they're not listening to black women and by default are perpetuating the very thing we're fighting against.

those 3 steps are very important and i'm observing them as well. we all have work to do on ourselves, it should be no different when our sisters are expressing disappointment in the men that they are doing so much to care, provide and fight in the streets for everyday. we gotta do better.

thank you for shedding light on the topic

He’s literally meeting her at the table at the beginning of the song and by the end Realizes that she may, in some aspect, be right question himself because deep down he knows he’s not doing enough hahahaha like wtf are people even arguing about this s*** is legitimately mind boggling

I think it’s important to separate normal black women and twitter hoes. The women on twitter don’t represent the average black women whatsoever. I’m completely in agreement with everything you said in your other post, and I think black women have a right to be angry. I have no problem with the women saying “protect us” or holding black men accountable, it’s the ones that just say “niggas aint s***” or “weakest link” or “bulletbags” that I have a problem with. Those are the ones I refer to as twitter hoes, their rhetoric actually isn’t helpful at all. Some of them be so hateful they sound like white supremacists.

And I can agree that them kinda birds are just as detrimental to black people as ain't s*** niggas
