I meant that literally cus I already knew of MJ’s history and the importance of separating art from the human even tho it doesn’t happen. And also the history of MLK.
It’s not dismissing the song being fire that’s why I said it is. It was me just being literal to your “man I feel like I came out of this learning something”......like knowledge wise what did you actually learn.
And the Nas comment wasn’t dismissive either. Kendrick is a fan of Nas. Nas influenced a creative way to do storytelling and rapping from something else’s perspective. This song is the same formula as “I gave you power” done in Kendrick’s own creative way.
If you’re still asking me what I “actually learned” after I said multiple times what it gave me a new perspective on, then idk what to say. I keep trying to make it less and less hostile and u still using spicy language, so with that I’m done responding, I hope you get better at having online conversations

This song is amazing. I'm so glad it leaked. I can see how it doesn't fit on an album though.
I think musicians should be able to release loosies with no pressure. Just a singular work. There's nothing wrong with that. The whole album construct is a label created box for commercial music.
There's artistry here though, It would have been a shame if we never got to hear this
