on a song very connected to drake
Do you think Drake has a conservatorship over Lil Yachty or something?
they act like he's Drake's minion lmao
I think rap is just in such a boring & lifeless spot right now (mainstream wise) that some of y’all desperately want a beef between two high profile rappers to make things interesting.
Cole is clearly not dissing Kendrick on this song and anyone who thinks so is shamelessly reaching

At this point we can consider them the same camp
Did you see Cole in the video? He not only takes on drake’s mannerisms but also shouts him out in the verse so yeah, song by drake’s good friend with Cole shouting out drake, doing some drake esque moves, and repeating some similar “fake woke” subs that drake put in the air recently, yeah this thing reeks of the boy

Point out the fictional part of that post lol there wasn’t even any speculation in there, that’s all just stuff that happened
If some of y’all were to do a genius breakdown of this verse, it seems like every line would say “this is just a vague rapper line about imaginary rappers, there’s no intent behind any word choices, any resemblance to anyone or any meaning derived is purely coincidental and reaching”
Weirdo yt kids always want to put niggas against eachother. Coloniser divide and conquer tactics still in ya DNA

That fake woke line wasn't even about Kendrick man
S*** was recorded before the big steppers and is at Kanye and Push
He not only takes on drake’s mannerisms

Cherrypicking but watch the video right after he does the walking hands “way they step” part and tell me he doesn’t do some drake type gesture/expression for a sec lol I’m not bugging here

You ain’t know fame before me

Nigga saying a 38 year old man is copying the mannerisms of his 36 year old peer as a way of referencing him in a video he’s not even in
Site is cooked

Y’all do too much and are just anti dissection of any kind
Guess it’s a result of people getting conditioned to just mindlessly consume these days without thought
Just now really listening to the track. Lil Yachty's verse was harder to me, but I understand why people don't like it. He's doing that edging flow that Smiley does and his voice is obnoxious. But just in terms of flows and his boasts it was solid. Cole is Cole. It is a good verse.
Good track overall
It's about Push yes
Makes no sense, drake had his microphone obviously he knew fame to some degree
Like you could kind of take it that way but I don’t think the fake woke fake deep really applies to push or ye that heavy either, like you could say it’s about ye being religious but idk
When people think fake deep they think Kendrick before them I think, imo it was probably meant to apply to both
The drake bars and the reaction to them, and now this verse is honestly the biggest example of the energy that has been building. for Cole to say all this stuff and make his first competitive rap verse since 2014 is a big deal, on a song very connected to drake and be saying the things he’s saying where he’s clearly addressing people and almost taking on drakes style
I still haven’t gotten an answer on who the first lines are actually about if not kendrick. because it’s clearly not some vague one size s***, that first part is addressing someone specific.
taking on Drakes style? lol nah bro
