I'm playing mafia 2 and it feels very weak story wise compared to mafia 1

i'm on the chapter where he goes to prison

f*** this game there's a game breaking glitch that if you robbed any stores you can't finish the like last chapter of the game

and the story wasn't even close to as good as mafia, f*** that game

It does pick up once you get out of prison, but can’t blame you for dropping it if it’s broken

PS5, apparently common bug from reddit threads I saw that's been in the games since the OG

Only solution being to restart the chapter, which that's a long ass chapter I don't got the patience for that after having my time wasted

And aside from that this game freezes and you have no option but to just close it. S*** happened so many times, really an awful port or whatever, just shoddy work and this glitch never getting fixed in a "definitive" edition is crazy.

I'd give it a 6.5/10 as a game, but Mafia 1 set the bar. Plot is weaker, cast is weaker, it's like they tried to go for a similar script, but everything is much more loosely put together and it just does not come together as well as Mafia 1 does

To be fair to the game you’ve still got around 10 chapters until the end, the story doesn’t really kick into gear until after prison.

But like I said I totally get dropping it, that’d be super annoying to have happen, the definitive edition is definitely the buggiest way to play. If you ever want to give it another chance, PC with mods makes it flawless, even a low spec system can run it nicely

The game has 15 chapters, I was at presumably the end of the chapter 15 where you give bruno the money back . Of course it doesn't let you do it due to the glitch without completely restarting and doing everything over again
