I think a lot of dorks will bash it because it's not empty open world souls slop

A concise linear game with a good story is a dying breed but when executed well it's hard to beat

I've got high hopes for this honestly. Mafia 1 DE is one of my favorite games, I thought the story was incredible

They’re coming off mafia 3 which had its problems, so this is definitely a see what the reception is first title for me

I’m pretty sure the rumour was Mafia 4 would be close behind it so maybe this is a good way to get fans back on side with a shorter game before the next mainline title

It’s not gonna get critiqued for that, it’s likely to be critiqued because mechanically it looks fairly archaic.

The trade off for going so linear with a short(er) game time is people will expect an overall more refined, well-tuned experience.

Not my case, i love that it is short and linear but i wanted more fresh ideas on a gameplay level. But it does look fairly well executed.

Mafia 3 story was pretty good only open World slop was bringing IT down
