    does anybody have references/designers that are good with 'playful' decor/interior design? I've got hardwood floors and my place is pretty drabby, i want to introduce some youthful energy to it

    basically my brother used to live here and i inherited all his things which is just standard white ikea stuff + an assortment of faded out furniture (not like a nice patina, just cheap stuff)

    One of my favourite movies of the last few years is Problemista, and it has incredible interior design
    It's playful and youthful and has a fun variety without being too kitschy or camp but I'm not sure it'd be what you're after

    Depending on what movies/music/fashion you like, I would go through the directors/writers/musicians/designers and look at how they've presented their work, what their movies sets look like, music studios etc.

    I have a folder of a bunch of stuff I find inspiring in interior design and its very varied and all over the place but taking little things from lots of different places I find makes a space feel fun for me
