this hilarious but surprisingly more topics than most rappers
Facts lol, we give so many rappers a pass for giving us redundant "Drill/Richard Millie/ f***ing on your b****" music but Jay Elec and his content is where we want to say "he needs to switch it up".
Feel like the Reggie awareness is low in this mf

If you don’t think he needs to switch it up then you aren’t really listening. His verses have been good but redundant. And it’s not the topics he chooses, it’s the fact that he does it in the same way. He isn’t even rhyming the same thing in a new way. It’s the same flow. Same topics. Same word usage. Same tone. Same everything. No matter the song.
This is pretty fire though
Wasn't expecting this

99% of rappers have a certain rhyme schemes, cadences, flows, topics, etc that they stick to .
The 1% that consistently switch it up are aliens like Kendrick, 3000, Lupe.
If we judged rappers by how redundant they are, we wouldn't like any of these rappers besides the 1%.

Those rappers aren’t given a “top 10” lyricist of all time without a complete body of work either.
Jay riding the legacy of Exhibit C into the sunset

He really just been in fatherhood mode we gon eat this year
Great production by Rory and singing by Reggie. Jay’s verse was cool but I’m pretty sure he recycled the same flow he did on pryhme (top 5 jay verse)
!https://youtu.be/p_g0ruf5nhMAnd i think the song needed a 2nd rap verse to round out the structure and really knock it out the park. Doesn’t even have to be from Jay but would be cool if it was.
he did it here too, it’s gotta be a signature flow at this point. i’m not mad at it tbh

The difference is those rappers release twenty times per year. Elect drops once a decade. Also jay puts himself in the category with the greats so that’s not an excuse.
What a f***ing stupid start to this song. That s*** was so annoying I didn’t get to the actual music
