    Tbf The Rock can be good. Southland Tales and Pain & Gain are stellar. He needs to the right material and the right director. Benny Safdie is also working with him on his film.

    Sounds cool. However the details seem sketchy meaning will Scorsese actually direct it or will he just be a producer? It doesn't seem like this is concrete but people are acting like Scorsese is signed on to direct.

    The first line of the deadline exclusive reads "The hot package in town is a pitch for a Martin Scorsese-directed untitled drama that would star Dwayne Johnson, Leonardo DiCaprio and Emily Blunt."

    Notice the words PITCH and WOULD STAR

    I mean they’re pitching it to studios that Marty is gonna direct it so that means he agreed to it.

    Doesn’t mean it’s 100% set in stone, no movie is. But this wouldn’t be pitched to studios as Marty directing if he didn’t at least verbally agree to it.

    just my own 2 cents / prediction: i dont think scorsese will end up directing this. I could be wrong but I don't see that coming to fruition just given his age, his vibes, and his not-concrete attachment to this project per the article. the way people are headlining this story is definitely good for the producers since they are getting into the news which will improve its chances of being picked up.

    i see this being more like a Rock production not as scorsese production and I dont see those two camps merging on this, at least not with Scorsese in the directors chair.

    Yeah we’ll see, I mean it’s like 7 projects rumored for Scorsese to direct and it doesn’t seem likely that all of them will be fulfilled.

    The devil in the white city keeps going back n forth of “Scorsese is directing” “Scorsese is producing instead” “nvm Scorsese is back to directing”

    So we just gotta see what the old man gonna do lol. But as of today it seems Marty is agreeing to direct, he likes the idea, they picked out a screenwriter, so what happens next is up in the air
