UnrulySuch a lazy take. Just because you have criticisms of an artist doesn't mean you don't want to check for their music anymore. If someone is your favorite artist you'd think you'd want them to get better and not stagnate but you are facilitating that by just being yes-fans.
What he said in that interview is a problem because if he claims he is one of if not the best rapper and a great songwriter than having such a limited subject matter to the point you can only talk about yourself makes that claim very questionable.
Every artist has a niche yes. No one is saying he should drop his usual subject matter entirely. These type of songs would be received better if he put out more songs that had totally different and creative subject matter. All it has to be is here and there not like he needs a whole project of it. But he doesn't even do that.
I see where you’re coming from. But who has put out a volume of music in a 10 year span like Drake has. By default some stuff will sound redundant but he also does play with different sounds and flows here and there

Every artist has their selection of subject matters they bounce between Drake is the only one who is asked to step out of his box. It’s valid that if Drake isn’t touching on the subjects you like to move on instead y’all will complain and suck the enjoyment out of it instead of just accepting that you have different needs that Drake doesn’t meet, the responsibility is also on you to know when to leave a party that is no longer enjoyable. Have you overstayed? I used to be biggest fan of The Game at some point he just stopped being for me, I now don’t go into Game threads to complain every time he drops I listen accept it’s more of the same and continue to listen to the music that speaks to me.
