Rolling stone are genuinely foul for phrasing their title that way man but it was written by a daily beast writer so it makes sense
This gotta be one the worst Ye interview I've ever heard. The host is so full of himself and Ye is just full of nonsense most of the time. Can't believe that I've wasted my lunch break listening to this s***
that interview is so cooked there was one or two cool moments but it was legit like a parody of a ye interview
The book thing is pretty interesting and something I have noticed myself. The people best at engineering in college were functionally illiterate lol
no music talk as expected btw
would it kill one of these f***ers to ask what he's up to with music

Probably
can't believe its gotten to the point where i don't care to listen to kanye interviews anymore

Damn man
This is a new peak for ye
I’ve been slowly watch him get to this point of his enterprising
What a run
would it kill one of these f***ers to ask what he's up to with music
To be fair kanye probably asked not to be asked about music
Otherwise I feel like that’s a default question for any interviewer

probably true... it does seem like it's not a priority of his right now

it hasn’t been for the past 10 years tbh. It seems to be something he works on for like 2 weeks while also mainly focusing on other ventures. I think he knows he’s the GOAT in music and did what he accomplished there so now everything else is his main priority.

Only Ye fits that description you're referring to, every other album in the past 10 years has taken extensive time (whether it's months or a year)
Like literally last year he was locked in the stadium for a month working on it

for the past 6 years*
can't believe its gotten to the point where i don't care to listen to kanye interviews anymore
Am just glad this was bereft of any off-centre soundbites..The most zany being his antipathy for books

...and like half of the songs on Donda have been worked on for at least 2 years or even more.
I hate when people on here saying stuff like this. He kinda always worked like this since CD. He collects ideas, starts working on them and then stops working on them for weeks or months. Later he's going back to his songs and then he's scrapping or finishing them. Nowadays he just makes that more obvious and shows it to the whole world, he doesn't care anymore if it's finished or unfinished. Same with Homecoming. It was literally a demo from 2001 and this song was supposed to be on CD.
