Even if thats Dolan's stance and policy, he couldn't give in just for good PR, just to make the players happy, just to appear like he's not a terrible owner of a almost all back basketball team?
I might have to be done with the Knicks until Dolan is out. This might be the last straw. Someone please convince me otherwise
come to the other side
crazy part is that theres no real basis to can him, nobodys gonna wanna play for the knicks though

It's always been f*** Dolan, at this point I just pretend he doesn't exist
Some pretty interesting news. Could definitely do better, but "worst" case scenario I'd actually be pretty cool with Woodson back
Woodson was the coach for the Hawks during their rebuilding seasons, and he did get them to the playoffs three times once they were a respectable team again
Definitely has earned himself an interview. Highly unlikely he'll get the job, but not giving him an interview would've been pretty wack. Gotta do that due diligence.
I say just keep Mike Miller, he had us playing respectable and we might actually have been in playoff contention if he was coach since the beginning of the season
I'm starting to believe the Knicks are just gonna run it back. Only significant changes are just the much improved front office. I think the next season we're gonna see more focus developing the players who are definitely staying, while the front office does the work scouting and tryna turn around the players who a dub for assets.
Players like Payton, Portis, Randle, Bullock, Ellington will definitely be gone. But I'm not expecting those moves to be done during this time period. Even if they should because fixing the roster should be a top priority, even if it means only getting some assets or B/C tier players.
Mike Miller will probably stay the head coach too as now he'll be able to draft up his own schemes and rotations with a roster he's capable of doing something with as hopefully, it'll be built with his coaching style in mind.
If any of this does come to pass then this rebuild will be the slow build that the Knicks have desperately been needing for years. Only thing different is that it's actually intentional and not the result of them putting all their eggs into one basket chasing stars and falling flat on their face. The upcoming free agent class isn't bad, but it's certainly not a class that has players who you can make a case to overpay. Knicks hardly have players with high returns in trading besides RJ, Mitch, and Frank. And if we're gonna be rebuilding then we aren't moving them.
Randle is someone else who could possibly get us a first round, but that really all depends on how our front office can sell other teams on him. It's not like Randle is awful, and he's only 25. Dude was just picked up for this team to be the 1, and he's just not that. That's fine, he's a solid role player who can get you an easy 15-10, maybe even 20-15 if he's in that good of a system that utilizes his kinda play style. Most teams know what they'll be getting out of him, and the teams who need that will definitely do what they gotta do to get him.
To sum this all up though I don't really have that high of hopes for an exciting off season, and I'm kinda okay with that. I'll take the slow build over crashing and burning any day
Worldwide Wes officially hired.
Azealia Banks might have been right after all. They really might turn this s*** around for real.

About damn time if they do
Smh so wack man. Clearly they were looking to move bro so why didn't they at least test the waters before the deadline if they were just gonna waive him for nothing? Could've gotten something for Trier if we packaged him up. Guess this means that anybody can get waived at this point.
Damn they did Trier so dirty
They let bro rot on the bench for no reason then cut him
Who the f*** is this crusty ass?
https://twitter.com/nyknicks/status/1276631452218769409This move don't even make sense...they waived Trier for a dude who's about the same age and has performed worse.
What was the point of this? Was Trier really beefing with the org that much?
