Nobody would've traded for Trier especially with his contract expiring

Knicks not playing another game this season so Trier was basically a free agent. Knicks have plenty of cap space so they can still bring him back regardless if they want to.

I'm hearing the reason they moved him was because of the 4.5 million they owe him. They very likely aren't going to bring him back though. They picked up Pinson, someone who plays the same position and is the same age as Trier, for like 1 million.

Trier was probably moved because of the attitude he had towards players getting more minutes than him...which is pretty fair to me because they made him ride the bench for most of the season.

Some speculate they're making these moves so they could make room to possibly sign Melo for a year, but that's a reach to me

When trier posted himself wearing KDs hours before he ended up going to Brooklyn, that was great lmfao yea i dont think its a big deal we waived him he was a decent player at times but not much will be lost imo. he played no defense.
