But what's the point of explaining anything when some idiot can just waltz in here and say dumb s*** like this with no basis and have someone else quote it like "oh god the imaginary scenario you made up is so terrifying 😢😢😢"

    Huh

Fair enough: Lets assume there IS a correlation, albeit probably not very significant.

"They didn’t have to lynch people to adhere to the same ideas that lead to it, and the normalization of the smaller things have historically given way to the bigger things."

I just find that although yes, this may be slightly true, I mean, the butterfly effect right? Everything will have a chain reaction... but imo its just too superficial of a solution to try to limit people speaking their mind freely in open discussion that includes no direct threat, racism, or prejudice.

Think about it this way: for every 3% of people that watched NeYo's video (or any other video you may 'think' is spewing subconscious bigotry) and actually ended up being pushed closer to the edge of being an active violence inflictor (I say 3% out of my ass, whatever percentage you want to guesstimate, I think we can both agree it will be a very small minority), there is a 97% majority that you and I AND NeYo fall under, that can understand and comprehend an opinion without it influencing in any way what we already believe. That will not go out and suddenly become violent.

Im not trying to argue against trans people being killed, dont get me wrong, that would be cynical, obviously I want them to be respected, much less would I want them to DIE! I merely fight for solutions which I think could be more efficient.

I say that to make a similar point as before: lets forget the superficial solutions, i.e. "You can't say that! Think about what it may inspire someone to do!" Because this is an age old discussion that has plagued America. The same has been said about FPS video games, rap music, action movies, so on and so forth. The implications as to what these things "cause" and "inspire" is an argument not much different than what you are actively arguing now, when in reality to me its almost like a cop out, like refusing to take accountability or deviate from finding a REAL solution to what causes certain violent or negative phenomena (not by you, Im referring to America in regards to the examples I gave).

These are 2 "deeper level" solutions that imo can have a much more significant impact (It starts within our circles, which may seem small, but you can't expect the change to happen overnight):

    1. Lets focus on bettering our immediate environments, by standing up for good morals, for respect, for integrity, and over time, we will see an exponential change in society. It will ripple through generations and communities.

and 2. If you really want to have a more EXPANSIVE reach and a greater GENERATIONAL impact beyond your community and your time, you're working in the wrong sector brother. Get into education. 2nd to the home, and the environment you grow up in, is the education you receive. Let us think deeper again: educate these 3%'ers that are bigots on the edge of becoming a violent offender, BEFORE they even become a 3%'er. Give them the education and the upbringing that you and I had, that allowed us to not turn INTO a person with that type of mentality. Do this and help feed the ripple that has the potential to become an encompassing wave among the human timeline. Do this if you really feel it in your heart and soul the passion to dedicate your life to a meaningful cause.

Im genuinely asking you to think beyond your generation (and adjacents), beyond your city, country, beyond your social media feed and timelines, beyond your society, and to really use the conscious brain that you are blessed with to think beyond time as you know it. We can think in the 4th dimension, its our greatest gift, might as well use it.

You were in here a while wonder if you got permad

Gotta love cis people talking about how he isn't wrong and he didn't say anything crazy

What did he say that was crazy? Gimme exact quotes pls

Everyone's gonna raise their kids how they want to raise them. It's not really anyone's place but the parents imo

He said he would love his children regardless of how they perceive themselves but would wait until they are of mature and sound mind & body before making any decisions

Which is equivalent to genocide apparently

Sure yeah but I've seen people say the same stuff enough times already to know they don't usually understand what transitioning really is like. Many people only see the surgery side of things when thats only one aspect of it. Transitioning is never something that's done on a whim, and if it is it usually doesn't go far enough to reach the surgery stage. Now of course there are stories of detransitionning but they are a minority. Parents need to understand that before these life altering surgeries there are a ton of other things, changing pronouns, your name, your clothes, etc. Which aren't dangerous by their selves. Idk how a parent can see their child suffering from gender dysphoria and now want to help them is all I'm saying

The point is that transitions are more efficient when started before or during puberty because you can actually prevent the body from changing in a way that will alienate the person even further... Waiting until it's passed is a bit counter productive

  • oh boy another trans thread

“I’m very passionate about this subject” followed by “I definitely plan to educate myself more on this..”

It's amazing how many people on here do ZERO RESEARCH on transgender people, what they're acrually advocating for, or the consensus among medical professionals yet accuse others of being sheep when all they do is repeat what some right wing media crank told them.

  • Aug 8, 2023

Here comes the part of the thread where an actual poster of the demographic being talked about gets ignored or discouraged lmao

  • Aug 8, 2023

The ppl getting muted is because they are repeating word for word the same rhetoric that Boosie had towards Zaya.

The woke mob has already spoken

Anything short of encouraging a double mastectomy or penectomy is transphobia, xenophobia, arachnophobia, homophobia and level 4 bigotry

Tell me where anybody encouraged or even remotely hedged on that arena of “hey kids, get a double mastectomy of penectomy” in this thread right now.

Never done on a whim eh?

    documentcloud.org/documents/23848578-layla-jane-lawsuit

One 90 minute session to determine their trans at 13 with a double mastectomy 6 months later. (The kid is now suing btw)

It’s not happening <— we are here

Okay it is happening but not a lot

Okay it’s happening more frequently but here’s why it’s a good thing

So like one exemple out of thousands? That's enough to discard every attempt at transitioning? Failed chemotherapies also happen does that mean we should stop treating cancer all together? I don't know what your point is here. That's a failure of the medical system, not something that is inherent to Trans related healthcare in itself
