A good quarterback who is only as good as the system around him. And i think the packers games encapsulate that to it's fullest
How many guys in the league is this true for though? Other than Rodgers and Brady, what QB has transcended their system and proven that they can succeed in less than ideal conditions?
We think Mahomes can, but we've never seen him without Reid. Josh Allen looked like a bust before Daboll got ahold of him. Trevor Lawrence looked like a bust last year.
It's not necessarily a huge knock on Kirk that he needs things around him to go well to win. I'm not sure how many QBs in this league win a game where their defense forces only 1 punt.
This you with DeForest Buckner lol
Most underrated interior linemen in the league!

The correct answer is Javon Hargrave, but to each their own
The amount of pressure Dexter Lawerence generates as a 0 Tech is absurd
Kelce is gonna show him who’s daddy

There isn't many but that doesn't mean that he should continue to receive deals that are 30 mil a yr completely guaranteed.
All those quarterbacks you named indeed progressed with the help of guys like daboll but those quarterbacks were also young and likely improving regardless. Kirk cousins is in yr 11 and 33.
And once again i am not just just talking about last night. Defense was ass but he still had a chance and folded. He is 4-42 in primetime/playoff games. Not all that is on the defenses and not all that is on him
@op add Giants beating Vikings ass to title.
Carr is about to get released for being kirk cousins. No one is mentioning that his defenses have given up 26 ppg in his starts but that he underperformed for his career as a raider. That's the same with kirk
Tough to blame Kirk for that 4th down decision. I wouldn’t wanna go see Nick Bosa either. He wants to see his kids grow up some day

this is what you cant do though. with similar weapons it's clear carr is worse then cousins lol. so then it's a question of scheme/defense which is not related to the QB play.
BUT i get it tho. imo both are losers, who would need the stars to align to win a super bowl.

How are you determining that he is better than him? Carr has been in a different system every year since he got in the league

just basing it off this season, which is all that matters in terms of one's next contract and why the vikes arent going to look to move away from kirk this offseason lol. and to your last point, kirk was also in a new system this year, did not impact him. but again idr wanna get into "systems" cause i feel thats its own convo entirely.

Since 2018 (when Kirk got to the vikings)
Cousins: 46-33-1
Carr: 35-45-0
Cousins: 20,934 passing yards, 153 TD:50 INT
Carr: 20,532 passing yards, 114 TD:55 INT
Carr has dealt with more organizational dysfunction than Cousins, but let's not act like they're the same guy because they're definitely not
Look at the current QB landscape of this league and tell me how we improve by moving off of Cousins
So where do the trash ass Vikings go from here?
You need to take a look in the mirror and remind yourself what team you're a fan of

bring in all the dust QBs that'll be a FA and have one massive QB comp.

Well I'm not basing it off 1 yr but their body of work.
