You need to take a look in the mirror and remind yourself what team you're a fan of
Look in the mirror, with a cute ass grin..
Like damn, it’s really me.. I’m really him
I am putting DJ above cousins on the QB list now though fs fs
I'm putting the Giants coaching staff above ours for sure
Nah I'm reviewing the 2024 WR class and beyond MHJ it is absolutely barren
Egbuka is cool, improved a lot this year
Xavier Worthy isn't even 170 lbs and regressed badly from his freshman year
Mario Williams is tiny and barely has 1000 receiving yards in 2 seasons combined
We need a Malik Nabers breakout very badly
Whew man, these next couple years will be ROUGH for WR depth across the board.
WR2s and WR3s are going to be asking for the big bag now, ctfu.
Since 2018 (when Kirk got to the vikings)
Cousins: 46-33-1
Carr: 35-45-0
Cousins: 20,934 passing yards, 153 TD:50 INT
Carr: 20,532 passing yards, 114 TD:55 INT
Carr has dealt with more organizational dysfunction than Cousins, but let's not act like they're the same guy because they're definitely not
They are pretty damn close to the same guys just one had a better team around him. You can say different but the same tier for sure.
How many guys in the league is this true for though? Other than Rodgers and Brady, what QB has transcended their system and proven that they can succeed in less than ideal conditions?
We think Mahomes can, but we've never seen him without Reid. Josh Allen looked like a bust before Daboll got ahold of him. Trevor Lawrence looked like a bust last year.
It's not necessarily a huge knock on Kirk that he needs things around him to go well to win. I'm not sure how many QBs in this league win a game where their defense forces only 1 punt.
Ofc the defence wasn't good yesterday but how many times have Cousins showed that he has that x factor that can pull Viks through to the SB? Yeah, a lot of teams would love a regular Pro Bowler who's good enough on their team but it's the question of what do you want. It's been what, 4-5 years now? If you want to just get into the playoffs it's fine, if your ambitions are high and you want to actually compete then I don't think Cousins should stay for much longer. But I guess I can agree Viks priority should maybe be fixing that pass defence for now.
Well I'm not basing it off 1 yr but their body of work.
i would say that's silly given the context of this convo and you comparing Carr to Cousins saying Carr is about to be dropped lol. he's being dropped because LV is looking at this season (and his fat contract) not his "body of work"

Aside from that 4th down play, what exactly could Kirk have done better yesterday?

Are you ranking Dak over Cousins? I feel those two are much closer in who they are than Carr is to Cousins

Dak turns the ball over too much and isn't nearly as efficient as Kirk
Kirk in 80 games since 2018: 50 INT
Dak in 65 games since 2018: 48 INT

I view Cousins as the gatekeeper of the good not great tier
Could maybe include a younger QB there, but I'm not quite ready to do that

No, you are still looking at it on a 1 for 1. They aren't moving on from carr because of just last year but because of his ENTIRE tenure. If carr won a sb last year do you think they cut him? No.
And I'm not advocating for cousins to be cut but he is who he is just like carr is.

All them niggas on the same tier. They underperform when it matters.

He's easy top 10 fr

I don't necessarily disagree, dudes are acting like I call Kirk Mahomes or something
My question is how do the Vikings improve by moving on from him, and the answer is they don't

Who’s the young QB?
We've talked all year in here about how trash the QB situation is around the league and y'all want the Vikings to move on from 66% completion percentage, 4500 yards and 29 TDs because he couldn't win a game where his defense forced 0 turnovers and 1 punt
Brilliant
