I know I'm a sound real stupid, but I thought electricity was the healthy/environment friendly power source, no?
Electricity can be generated by a number of sources. Some like natural gas, hydro, or solar as is the exampe being given where the entirety of earth's solar power is basically net zero with a speculative bubble.
You’re the only one feigning ignorance here, Ethereum has been in the transition to a proof of stake consensus algorithm for a while now lol
Any minute now. Innovation to solve a problem it created. Incredible

Electricity is energy. Where does the energy come from? Certainly not out of thin air. Usually fossil fuels or nuclear power is used to generate it. Not exactly environmentally friendly but not that bad either
"The NFT makes no sense if the original exists!"
"Let's destroy the original. Now we have a digital copy, but actually the digital copy becomes the original because there is a certificate saying you are the sole owner, and everybody else using this digital copy merely has a copy of the copy of the destroyed original!"
NFT retärdation in a nutshell
I know I'm a sound real stupid, but I thought electricity was the healthy/environment friendly power source, no?
A piece of paper needs no energy at all once it has been produced
I still can’t find where the winner of the nft said that he was going to destroy it
I still can’t find where the winner of the nft said that he was going to destroy it
oh right because the auction winner isn’t even known because there hasn’t been one yet
Any minute now. Innovation to solve a problem it created. Incredible
What new innovation hasn’t had problems on its initial release lmao
Your ignorance and stupidity is showing
I don’t blame anyone in here though
If everything was explained to me in b******ised Twitter form I’d be outraged at everything too

You’d also be an expert in all subjects just by reading headlines
NFTs are stupid as f***
Wow this very unlady like of you
based
art is evolving and you're a boomer if you can't see it
You’d also be an expert in all subjects just by reading headlines
These the same people crying against fake news and misinformation on the internet, while it does exist they’re not too bright on picking up on it lmao the internet has everyone confused and in shambles with all these information streams
oh right because the auction winner isn’t even known because there hasn’t been one yet
Getting angry over made up narratives
I don’t blame anyone in here though

enlighten us then
Ethereum is another crypto currency. Don't feign ignorance.
the Blocks are being produced if people put NFTs on them or not though... getting rid of NFTs wouldn't make Ethereum go away lol
Blockchain is one of the best innovations of this century but rich nerds are using it for s*** like this
enlighten us then
I try every nft thread, no one really listens but I hope I can teach at least one person about this stuff
Anyway, the basis of that article is entirely false and meant to incite a reaction anyway if you bothered at all to read my posts in this thread
I still can’t find where the winner of the nft said that he was going to destroy it
?
The thread title, op post and article all say that the art "might" be destroyed at the discretion of the winner. That's entirely true. It's not certain, but still a possibility.
They say "might" because a recent physical work of art was destroyed to conserve its digital value as an NFT (which makes sense in the realm of this new ownership).

So we getting outraged at hypotheticals?
anyone can buy a da Vinci and destroy it at their own discretion

I'm not really seeing an outrage; it's just a lame and ironic process of destroying an original after copying it, then claiming you have the original.
The fact that it can happen, because it has happened before, is what people are reacting to. I don't see an issue at all.
Wow this very unlady like of you
