true but every other shoe company got less than 5 timeless models to their name
True. Nike hit the jackpot with Tinker
'hyped' stock doesn't even register for the likes of Nike in terms of raw sales numbers year on year. they could just ditch that entire side of their biz and probably be better off. this stuff exists solely to sell the idea of Nike as the 'cool' shoe brand and push ppl who miss out on the l&f or who get delayed FOMO to pick up idk some air maxs or something. yeah they could make a million l&fs and likely sell them all but they also don't want to risk making these things too available and killing the fomo marketing factor.
I definitely agree that they've made a lot of bullshit shoes the last few years - every company does tbh - but I wonder how much of that was a result of pandemic resale industry booming and then crashing along with everything else this year.
Hyped stock doesn’t account for most of their raw sales because 1. There’s less hyped models compared to all of their other models and 2. They don’t make a lot of stock of their hyped models compared to other models.
The too available excuse is bullshit, any hyped model like breds or whatever would sell out regardless of how much stock. Perfect example are panda dunks, seems like everyone and their mom has a pair yet they continue to sell out with every restock. The hype on those isn’t dying nor would the hype on retro’s if they pushed out more. Just like the hype on Yeezys never died despite how many colorways of the same model adidas continued to put out

People say this but this doesn’t account for the type of people who buy things like Team Jordans simply because they have a Jumpman on them off the strength of the Retros lol. The cool factor is what sells a lot of the generic shoes but there are also those who don’t really care about that too

They’re just hand emojis ✌🏾🤙🏾✊🏾
I like the way the air max 95 looks with no branding on the tongue + I hate Velcro so I probably wont use them.
