we definitely getting a Metroid Prime 4 cinematic trailer in 2020, most likely at the next direct or E3

so if we can get a BOTW2 trailer at E3 in 2019 with release of Holiday 2020

we can get a MP4 cinematic trailer at 2020 E3 for a Fall 2021 release

I don't see the game coming out until 2022 at the earliest. The game was completely rebooted. We don't even know how Retro manages anymore considering the game they've probably been developing since Tropical Freeze seems nowhere to be found.

I wonder if Prime 4 will have voice acting. It should. Prime 3's voice acting was actually pretty good.

Pretty sure. My thinking is just if Nintendo went through the 3 or so years of development only to reboot it because it wasn't up to their standards they're probably going to take their time with this. Plus it's Metroid's first HD game.

Yea, the good thing is that it feels like they really want to make a great game. I always felt like Metroid could be bigger, especially if they build off of what made Metroid Prime 1 so good

a reboot could mean starting the same exact concept over with a new engine

or it could mean starting with an entirely new concept but running on the same engine built for initial development

both will take long, but not as long as if they did a FULL reboot meaning new engine AND new concept/story

there's been plenty of news since the reboot about them hiring new staff and if they've been in development SINCE the reboot and they take all of 2020 there's definitely a fall or Holiday 2021 release in the possibilities
