Ganon wasn't even that hard tbh. Now I'm not to get xenoblad chronicles or Astral chain. Any suggestions?
Never played Monster Hunter before but man I am very curious about MH Rise. I will probably pick it up when it drops in March. What about y’all?
Here's my long detailed response
Im copping but im a MH fan.
The first one i played was on PSP, liked it but never beat it, but then got into & fell in love with the series on the wii with Monster Hunter Hunter Tri, beat it then got Generations on 3ds, Monster Hunter Tri Ultimate on Wii U & World on PS4.
Its a very different game compared to say other stuff on the Nintendo platform, it challenging (not "hardcore" like Dark Souls or sumn tho), the story is minimal cuz its focused on the gameplay, & you only fight "bosses".
The game is very focused on making the monsters feel like actual animals & believable working really hard on the ecology & enviroments/wildlife.
If you dont have a PS4, i suggest you can also play Monster Tri Ultimate (basically the deluxe & directors cut extended version of the og wii one) on Wii U. World imo tho is so much better then any other before in terms of quality of life improvements & newcomer friendliness (part of the reason why World is the highest selling of the series so far with 10mill+ lol), which will extend even more into the upcoming one.
There is also a demo of a port of the 3ds Generations titles on Switch that you can try out for fun, but be warn it just throws you into the deep end without any prep straight into the fights without build up or npc interactions, & again, it doesnt have the full modern improvements that World has & Rise will have.
Overall tho, it's an amazing series that started on Sony consoles but became popular on Nintendo consoles (it was first exclusive to Sony, then became exclusive to Nintendo, then it became multiplat with World) & now it's the biggest its ever been. It can be intimidating or a bit offputting to get into a bit, but its great if/when you finally enjoy & click with it.
Top 10 series for me personally & Monster Hunter World is top 10 of the gen for me too, maybe even oat when its all said & done.

Astral Chain is really dope.
Gameplay is amazing, graphics are some of the best ever on Switch so far & the story is cool.
Really stylish & fun.
Honestly don't think I'm going to use switch anymore after getting my PS5
Nintendo really dropped the ball in 2020

Thanks a lot bro, this was a great response! I appreciate it.
I got in the castle and immediately got f***ed up by a centaur had to stop right after that. Any tips on beating him?
Ah, the centaurs are called “Lynel”. By far one of the most fierce enemies I’ve had to fight in a Zelda game. You have to learn how to do perfect dodges when they attack and then use flurry rush. It’s all about timing. You can also shoot them in the face with an arrow to stun them temporarily, then you can mount them from behind and start smacking them with your sword.

Haven’t played Xenoblade but Astral Chain is 🔥🔥🔥 My 2019 game of the year.

These rumors been bubbling for a minute, even Yoko Taro wants Nier on Switch, it's just up to Square Enix is all. FF15 could be a cloud version too

They had a whole ass 1 hour event at tokyo game show almost 2 months ago about nier specifically and nothing about a switch version was ever implied so im doubtful. It would be wise for them to do it tho, at least if a switch port is possible

That's when it was supposed to be announced, hopefully a Direct in January showing off Automata and Bayonetta 3.

They gonna spoil us after this long ass drought
Thanks a lot bro, this was a great response! I appreciate it.
No problem
One thing i did forget to mention is that the cast of characters & humor are usually great & funny too. & that i also played Monster Hunter Stories 1 & loved it, so that might even be a great starting place or the upcomong sequel to get attached to the world & creature with JRPG Pokemon-loke gameplay & mechanics.
If you decide to hop in I hope you enjoy it!
