To people who owned a wii u and its games switch understandably doesnt have many AAA games, its sad they got the short end of the stick. But to those who didnt own one the switch is the first nintendo console with this many 1st party titles since the gamecube

That’s true tbh, I didn’t get the Wii U so there’s a lot more here that feels new. Still the switch has a lot of solid unique titles, and this year we’re already getting some good new stuff

No more heroes 3, bravely default II, Monster Hunter Rise, New pokemon snap are all new games coming out in the next months while we're only getting mario golf and skyward sword for mario and zelda. These are all exclusives titles that vary in genres. I hate seeing people complain there's nothing out when there are plenty of games

Metroid not even a top 10 Nintendo franchise

i want a new Donkey Kong 3D adventure as well as an open world Star Fox game and maybe even a 3D Kirby platform game

all 3 of those franchises are bigger than Metroid, Bayonetta, SMT but also bigger than Monster Hunter, Bravely Default and NMH

we definitely dont need anymore Zelda for a while after BOTW2 and no more Mario until Odyssey 2 and we are always gonna get more Pokemon

so yeah

give us Donkey Kong, Kirby and Star Fox

Metroid prime is one of the best series of all time

Metroid prime trilogy and 4 will sell insane numbers

they need to hurry up

I’m waiting for that Trilogy announcement, if we don’t get it I’ll just download the rom onto my Wii so it’s on Nintendo if they want my money

its not a bad series but less than 20 million sales across multiple games and platforms is very, very sad

yeah it’s the most underrated and underloved series, but I think the switch platform will be the best platform yet for these games, boosting how much it sold vs. on other platforms

MP4 can sell over 5-10 million copies on a Switch that can handle ouputting one or the other:

1. UHD @ 30fps
2. FHD @ 60fps

but a first person shooter running at 1080p and 30fps will feel so ugly compared to every single other alternative

Hal was hinting at a new kirby game at the beginning of the year so we could get that for sure. I also think donkey kong is gonna get a game too, its not huge but it's still a big series and it has a game on switch. I also think they'll work on pikmin 4 since pikmin 3 deluxe sold well. Idk about star fox, although i wouldn't necessarily count it out, Nintendo still has limited teams that either have released new games lately or that are working on games to be released so the Number of ips they can work on is limited

Idk about that, hopefully nintendo markets mp4 as much as botw and it receives similar acclaim, otherwise it wont sell that much imo

Donkey Kong has 60 million sales all time and only had 1 core 3D release, we need a proper DK treatment

On that note, a 2d metroid would be nice, maybe mercury steam can work on it

pretty sure a new 2D metroid and a HD collection for the trilogy are part of the marketing campaign for MP4 and will most likely start after BOTW2 drops

In an ideal world every nintendo ip would sell a lot and we'd get at least 1 entry per series every console cycle, but its impossible infortunately
