Nintendo isnt going to market a $399.99 USD model with a new title "Deluxe" or "XL" and not reach 4K30 docked and SHD60 handheld
if the console uses DLSS to achieve the 4K docked that'd be more than fine too, gotta make sure u dont think im implying native 4K
u cant really argue that very logical speculation without coming off as uneducated
s*** i hope the new switch is that dope and ill gladly pick one up i just dont see it
mario and rabbids gold purchased
I'm not much of a pessimist but it's definitely not out of the realm of possibility for Nintendo to sell a piece of hardware that's supposed to be an upgrade that's still outdated. The Wii-U debacle was nearly a decade ago but we all still remember that L.

ya the XB1X is a few years outdated now
nobody thinks that Nintendo is competing with the XBS or PS5 but the XB1X and PS4P are definitely the level Nintendo is gunning for

Wii u's failure wasnt really because of it being underpowered imo, but yeah nintendo is known for releasing underpowered hardware, at least since the wii. I believe with this revision we'll get botw2 running at 1080p @ 30fps with maybe dlss (if its there and if botw2 supports it) upscaling to 1440p @ 60fps when docked, while most games on handheld would be native 720p @ 30/60 fps, which technically would still be underpowered but good enough for the type of system it is

Of course, I just remember Nintendo always making "interesting" decisions when it comes to their hardware so it's hard for me to be sure of anything. I'd love 4k & I don't think that's much to ask for in 2021 lol, Nintendo can't & shouldn't be that dumb.

Wii U failed so Switch could win
Wii U underrated imo picked one up last year and its so amazing hacked

even if all menus and s*** were 4K but animations, textures and effects could be scaled up from a native 1080p or 1440p
power of DLSS is uncanny

Yea it was more an example of poor decision making, risk taking & marketing from Nintendo than technical spec. wise.
Wii U failed so Switch could win

facts wii u could've done so well it was just marketed so bad, it might be the only console i regret coping early but the potential was there
nvm
Zelda BOTW 2 running 1080p @ 30fps is not going to sell consoles lmao Nintendo really needs DLSS
once again, everyone go look at the newest TEGRA chip by Nvidia
When nintendo tried implementing next gen hardware they released GameCube and n64 which werent as successful as their prior consoles, then the wii happened and they were drowning in money. I think that nintendo doesnt need cutting edge technology and super high graphics to be successful, their best bet is having a great idea (switch being a hybrid system) and amazing games. The revision is just to get more games, more options for customers and making games run at an acceptable level for the year we're in. Nintendo doesnt want or need to compete with sony or microsoft, they're in their own lane

Yeah wii u is the best hacked nintendo system, can play almost everything

but everyone has 4K tvs going into 2022 and 1080p Switch looks horrible by default even the main menu has trash clarity
sure Nintendo games dont need as much graphic power but the console needs to outout a 4K resolution one way or another

The switch is over 4 years old now it’s literally only logical that a new model would have much higher graphic capability

Heard a lot about how the Wii-U is apparently the Goat system for R.O.M.s. Might have to take mine out of storage & mod it
nvm
I meant that with dlss enabled game would lower output to 720p or 480p allowing 60fps and then the dlss would do the upscaling to 1080/1440p
facts wii u could've done so well it was just marketed so bad, it might be the only console i regret coping early but the potential was there
im into gaming and i never really knew what exactly a Wii U was till 2 years ago lmfao
going back and watching the commercials is hilarious because even they didnt know how tf to market it

yeah makes sense tbh

That's what dlss would be for i guess

Yeah i agree, that's what i said. Not only 3rd parties are finding it harder than ever to port games, nintendo themselves cant make their own IPs shine like they could in 2017
