    What album is this?

    Like WRU previously replied, it's David Crosby's "If I Could Only Remember My Name"

    An album by a skilled musician, with the contribution of many other skilled musicians of the era!

    (Three quotes from wiki)

    While recording, Crosby invited many of his musician friends to take part. Among them were Graham Nash, Neil Young, Joni Mitchell, and members of the Grateful Dead (most frequently Jerry Garcia), Jefferson Airplane, Quicksilver Messenger Service, and Santana.

    ;

    The period was also one of mourning for Crosby following the death of his girlfriend Christine Hinton in a 1969 car accident. Grief stricken, Crosby coped by doing hard d**** and spending large amounts of time in the studio, where he "felt safe."

    ;

    The album is rooted in the folk-rock tradition, but like much of Crosby's work it also borrows tunings, time signatures, and vocal phrasings from jazz.

    Can't believe I had to scroll through 10 pages to see this album mentioned

    Prince not putting his music on youtube for all of those years really f***ed up his visibility to younger audiences man. It's like from 06-18 the only way you were a prince fan is through word of mouth, it's f***ed

    Prince had always been so annoying when it came to stuff like this whether it’s limiting the availability of his music, or never clearing samples.
