I don’t think they ever infer that anyone that was bending had completely mastered every capability with it.
not master, just the ability to punch and bend at birth. Kora being the only one shown to master as a kid makes sense as the avatar. But the lion turtle implies that bending is the equivalent to a magic wand in Harry Potter in my eyes
That still technically killing them. Me leading you to your death is me still killing you lol. Not on some technicality bs
Nah this ain’t it.
You said that like he had murderous intent, as if all of this didn’t start because his intentions weren’t to keep peace
Let me “accidentally” cause the two great spirits to separate.
The Raava Vaatu thing
No, but you should kind of think the first Avatar would be a good guy right be a good role model
I mean s*** their isn’t much you can do to make me dislike a character in two episodes. Toph’s introduction was awesome. She’s likable, relatable and funny. Also Aang, he’s likable funny but also tried to resolve things peacefully.
But Wan holy s***, this guy is already making excuses about his actions, and not owning up. I semi get what the writers were going for, have him be flawed at the start then become an Avatar, but it’s so short without any distinctive traits that I have a hard time remembering anything that he did that was positive
we’re gonna have to agree to disagree
I didn’t see the character as some irredeemable pos like you do somehow lol
The guy was a flawed but well intentioned man attempting to keep the peace at the end of all this

He had the same issue as Korra, “a problem I caused that I need to own up and take responsibility for and feel bad about? NAHH!!

I’m only on season 2 so whatever you’re referring to with Korra not taking responsibility
Probably hasn’t happened yet for me
Because she’s taken responsibility and has felt guilty for a lot so far in.
Also I think you’re completely ignoring wans taking responsibility for his actions, hell man him taking on the task of fixing his f*** up is already taking responsibility.

Bruh, their so many examples in Season 1 and 2
R u not listening to the way she talks to people?
She barely grows since Season 1

List em off

Nah I’m tired of this 😴
I’ve talked too many times about Korra being borderline unlikable
“haha let me use the avatar state to win a race, haha”
F*** no, I’m not gonna argue this again
Way more entertaining and engaging than most of book 1 and 2 of ATLA. Much better nemesis and themes

This man is so mad lmfao

I like both but I think a good way of putting it is that Korra has great sections. ATLA is better over all. Some of ATLA lowkey comes off as filler

agreed

Korra has some of the worst filler episodes ever, every Avatar episode contributes to the greater whole of the story, the only ones that don’t that are filler explore chapters in deep and meaningful ways
Season 3 is better than a good chunk of The Last Air Bender to me
Real
The sweats won't understand tho

even the filler in TLA is good tho, especially third season

worst part abt it all is the fact she already has figured out bending for the most part at the start of the series. Removes so much opportunity for growth

you get it, thank you
you get it, thank you
why would anyone want the exact same type of progression that was in the first series? they obviously went that route to keep Korra from being a glorified remake. don’t be dense.

Nah thats just a physical growth. It's like goku "training" the powers are arbitrary. The choices people have to make and what those choices mean are the interesting point. I guess that goes for any characters with powers.
Aang couldve already knew firebending for the most part and still chose not to use it because his negative connection to it and the growth would still be there.
You can say there are multiple reasons why Korra sucks but her knowing all the elements aint one of em.
