What defines lyricism for you? Because Jay is at the top of the game with his wits (ex: double meanings), storytelling and use of clever wordplay. Saying he’s on the same level as Snoop is a poorly informed opinion or just bait
Discography wise, there’s not a lot of rappers with multiple revered albums under their belt, so automatically Jay’s one of the best in that regard even though he has poor albums.

1. 4:44 is not a classic, talk less of an undeniable one. Neither is WTT. You letting the Hov echo chamber lead you wrong and I think you need to understand the difference between seminal works and above average albums.
2. Lyricists praise pretty much every top tier rapper, I can name similar "great rappers" that Eminem, Nas and Snoop have influenced. These artists also have similar longevity.
3. Jay Z is hardly the most complex lyricist, and I'm hardly a kid. Rage all you want, the fact remains that post-return from retirement Jay Z has dropped just one above average album and a slew of duds and he has been inconsistent as hell in his features.
