I like a few songs here and there
Bad brains are known for punk but their reggae cuts are 100 times better than their punk stuff imo
Death is ok
Black flag has a few cool song but for the most part I can’t connect with it
Dead Kennedy’s not really

Amazing guitar parts that have the punk feel but on another level compared to other acts in my opinion

Those arguments only happen because hip hop doesn’t have sub genres on paper. Like someone like carti doesn’t need to be lyrical. The style of music he makes within rap doesn’t require a consistent need of lyricism. For him it requires melodies and the ability to constantly come up with catchy melodies and energetic songs

Those arguments only happen because hip hop doesn’t have sub genres on paper. Like someone like carti doesn’t need to be lyrical. It’s the same thing those big 70s mainstream rock bands was saying when punk came to the scene in the mid 70s. Happens everytime a new style or sound becomes popular in the genre. Same s*** wen grunge was becoming the forefront in the 90s
