dracoI listen to punk and WLR is inspired by punk. No denying that. Just because it's not a live band playing or political lyrics doesn't mean its not. Punk is not just a genre of music. It's a lifestyle. WLR has short songs, punk energy and Carti is not on beat a lot which is how a lot of punk music was. Punk is about being free and Carti is being and rapping freely throughout this album. Instead of political, it's a new age lifestyle of not giving a f*** and living wildly free.
The problem is a lot of people are saying it IS punk music. Not that it’s inspired by punk

I listen to punk and WLR is inspired by punk. No denying that. Just because it's not a live band playing or political lyrics doesn't mean its not. Punk is not just a genre of music. It's a lifestyle. It's hard to take what Adam22 is saying seriously because he doesn't like Travis Scott yet he co-signs all the trash that gets posted on No Jumper.
WLR isn't great, it's not Carti's best work but his critique that because he listened to Slayer when he was a kid Carti's music sounds infantile is a bit silly imo.
Lil House Phone can't articulate himself properly but he does make some good points in general.
Ultimately its just an album, who cares.
