you missed the point. his fan base is too diverse to appease people wanting one style from a drake album

He can just do a rap album and then get back to whatever the whole world wants on the next no big deal

Point is he can do both without having to constantly give us frankenstein trap-soca-rappity rap-rnb-pop albums and instead give us concise takes on each sound he has.

Imagine not wanting to see one of the greatest rappers tap in for a rap album. Is that not a missed opportunity to you?

Yes and no tbh. There’s still R&B cuts on that and the rap side is tainted a little by the QM situation which still leaves the world wondering what a pure drake hip hop cut sounds like

I'm gonna say that interview is apart of the album rollout. 40 didn't have to say as much as he did. He could've said something like "Its bein worked on, soon come" then moved on. But no he hinted that drake droppin VERY soon!

From what 40 says its more he likes to make different types of music combined with the fact that he wants to dominate in all of music not just rap

So then make short albums that focus on one or two different sounds and put em out more often

Imagine if drizzy dropped 2 10 track albums a year one mostly rap and hits and the other mostly pop and singing hits

  • CactusJackSentYa

40 won the "Ass Cap" songwriter of the year award ?

I get that drake has to achieve balance with his tracklists on his albums, but if it means putting songs like ratchet happy birthday on the album while songs like vital gets cut, then IMO it’s pointless

Even 40 knows scorpion was some mid
