I don't know what it is about the argument scene that doesn't work for me, but something about it is off. Maybe it's the way the scene is framed or how quickly things escalate but it's like watching two people in an acting class.
The movie is p good but I get why that scene is so divisive.
all the MFs saying that scene was “unrealistic” have definitely never been in a serious enough relationship to have an argument like that
On god bro this s*** hit so diff, brought back some ptsd from a past argument with my ex

I like how it’s framed it feels very theatrical to me, I thought I was watching a live scene
I think what’s off to me is Scarlet’s performance there’s some beats she kinda misses or overdoes that almost takes you out but I like it because that’s what makes it feel live in a way it’s almost she knows I’m watching her I liked that sensation

finally watched this once the hype died down.
it's a pretty good movie but it was mad overhyped in my opinion.
Currently watching Baumbach's films and I've seen so much praise for this one over the years...it was fine. Adam Driver is great but he didn't do much for me in this one. My favorite scene was when Scarlet goes to meet Laura Dern and tells the "story" of their marriage. Thought it was a pretty great, and natural looking monologue. The argument between her and Adam at the end, not so much. By the time Adam started singing at the bar, I was ready for the conclusion lol.
This movie felt idk...goofier than the others I've seen from this director. Frances Ha is the best by far IMO. The Meyerowitz Stories is very enjoyable too. This and The Squid and the Whale are just fine to me.

Mistress America is the closest one similar to Frances Ha, probably Greta’s funniest role even tho I like Frances Ha slightly more
I don't know if I already commented in this thread, but I still think this was a great film. Adam knocked it out of the park.

Word, noted. Frances Ha is really good so I'm intrigued
