• This thread is to include bands affiliated with the current scene, including those that might not directly be considered noise rock itself, and anything that can fall under anxiety metal can be included.

More punk than punk rock. More progressive than progressive rock. More alternative than alternative rock. It often incorporates spoken word or ramblings of a madman. Atonal screeching guitars. The chunkiest of chunky bass. Off beat, yet aggressive drums.

Like shoegaze, if it were heavy.

A conscious attempt to make a less listenable rock.

Noise rock is when the band don't know how to play their instruments.

Was going to add the Jesus lizard but they've been around ages, and blood incantation I feel is just too metal-y and not noise-y enough to fit itt though their 2024 gained much acclaim for a reason. I will be trying to dig up info on that prostitute band, and I may add in Cocaine Mitch after hearing his release from a couple days ago

Wow, pissed jeans is like mdop where it's noise rock but much more in the hardcore realm, though they sound the most like f***ing drain (or at least their 2024 album does as I skim through it)
