I know man , I grew up in one those hoods. And I agree with, there isn’t a clear solution. I don’t agree on the hip-hop part tho because it was the only music I listened when I grew up, the biggest rappers here grew in my neighborhood, some of them I made music videos for them. I got my love to direct by making those same hip-hop videos. I believe if you don’t live in those neighborhoods you shouldn’t talk about hip-hop, but if you grew there and saw and lived the struggles with your own eyes that’s your music too, doesn’t matter the race.
