last week was literally all about degen mints and scandals

stories of cults left and right, all while free/cheap mints and derivatives were popping off like crazy

milady makers fp basically fell off a cliff when rumours quickly spread about their founders being into some weird s***trafficking cult stuff, this would then spur some fake? fud about WoW as well, was pretty much debunked immediately

while all this was happening, collections like goblintown.wtf and many okay bears derivatives saw insane amounts of volume in just a few days

goblin town and okay bears yacht club both peaked around ~ 1eth and .18 eth respectively from being a free mint

In terms of Opensea daily volume, overall pretty flat on the week. Hovering around the mid 30M range ~

Despite all the talks of being in a bear, this still doesn't really even feel like a bear imo, at least not for NFT's. I don't think we've seen major capitulation yet, things can get much worse if macro headwinds become stronger.

Though, collections with actually decent art and promising founders are still flopping left and right, immediately selling for mint price or under and sometimes not even minting out. Ive been skipping projects I got WL for cause its not even worth it to mint sometimes.

I've personally shied away from keeping up with most of these newer projects and have been hardcore learning IPFS, solidity, and the ERC721A standard. More exciting to build stuff for me right now than chase the next project, which could always turn out to be a rug or just not even do very well. Also, just keeping up with the memes and trends of the week. Still lots of opportunities in the space if you keep your edge.
