definitely! and I think this is a result of most nft bros being from the crypto class of 21’ 😂 so they’re not the smartest when it comes to things like this

though tbf this was a classic social engineering/phishing “hack” and i think it could have happened to alot of ppl, so I do feel bad they got schemed but definitely more education and research is needed in the nft space

yeah that's true a lot of people got rich fast with NFTs in the last 15 months

yeah it seems like pretty basic phishing most the times, there definitely does need to be better education and risk management

every week theres a new ponzi to make gen wealth off of welcome to nft’s

despite being another rough week volume wise, there was actually some flips to be made if you didn't mind trading dogshit derivatives

goblin town soared past 2eth with subsequent derivatives popping up left and right

rektguy by OSF and friends did really well from a free mint, also saw the likes of many derivatives like rektgrl pop up

BAYC was below 80eth on x2y2 for some time which was pretty nuts

someone fat fingered and sold his ape for 10eth to a bot

a moonbirds derivative called AI moonbirds got spun up and actually looked like a good derivative, though Kevin Rose got them DMCAd IIRC

and ofc had subsequent "AI" versions of any collection you can think of popped up

basically its been nothing but s*** derivatives and free mints these past two weeks, there are plays to be made but you have to look harder - prob better to just save your ETH

icy tools, 5/15min timeframe on the discover tab - you can see what free mints are popping off, also can keep notis on for twitter accounts like stickydao or whalealerts that’ll tweet out whats trending every 30min

the thing is its literally a crap shoot, just like s***coins, you never know which ones will pop off, and 99% will go to dust but at least you only pay gas to mint

and if this is something you actually decide to take a stab at, use a burner wallet just in case so you dont accidentally approve any sketchy transactions
