Could signal the general attitude most nations will have about this type of AI. it makes sense cus it's all being made in America so they have no strong incentive to adopt a technology that won't benefit them economically

Current major shortages are due to covid im very aware, many doctors literally left their post and retired during covid not to deal with it and many more closed down until literally late last year. Health field was affected the most and still is to a degree, i know, i had a very important appointment that took me two years to get into that eas then put off a whole nother year due to covid. It halted my life.
Im aware of all this, i never said all of that is where it will help lol it isnt a cure all nor magic.
I sinply said it will help with the diagnosis part of care which is also struggling.
There is alot of redtape and politics that come in with dealing with doctors and longterm health, also ego.
An AI can not only sped up the process, but can also be a form of defense for the paitient. To help against insurances and being a reason to get a surgery/medicine that doctors dont want to do for whatever reason. Scared, money reason, laziness, risky on the clinic if something goes wrong so they have you deal with the issue instead of doing the potential fix etc.
Did you know that a doctor can literally flag you as a "problem paitient" if you question them "too many times" and/or dont like their diagnosis/answer? Which means it will be harder to get into other clinics and to get insurances. It f***s you over big time like a felony and there is little to orotect besides recording yourself or spending lengthly time and money to defend hearsay in court.
An AI that is sanctioned by the board can be as defense for said paitient to try other things or double check the doctor and things like that.
Its a step that helps two areas of the medical field. And its all regardong the paitient interest.
Also outside of patient drfense and help, AI can also be used to create medicine more efficiently and to get goals faster and even come up with formulas we didnt think of.
Prompt of finding x medicine component with y parameters and it will get to work, just like how it already helps out coding.
Or whats the best way to tackle this problem.

I'm not interested in exchanging walls of texts, and I've already conceded this stuff can be another tool to help assess problems which doesn't mean implement fixes
But to focus on this "more efficiently create medicine" thing as an example- do you think that production cost reduction will be past onto patients? I don't.
It would be easy for the US to make a lot of insulin and drive prices down and make sure nobody dies from austerity. They don't do it.

hmm yea i wonder if other countries will take the same stance, could be interesting how that plays out
i imagine when you're training a model like this its very hard to filter out data from specific countries

Can I ask what you do professionally in the creative industry?
I gotta ask because, I'm not listening to anyone's take on AI being a cancerous threat unless they make their living in a creative field.
Need to separate those opinions that I can take seriously, from the kids who think AI is the new trendy thing to s*** on
Worked for years as a visual designer and illustrator at different creative studios. I don't know any designers worth their salt who are sweating this.
There's a reason it's called "machine learning" and not "machine inventing." It's just biting what humans feed it and spitting it back at us really fast. Someone else mentioned how AI can now copy a Picasso painting.. yeah, it can bite other existing art, how does that threaten an artist who is creating new original ideas?

If people stopped designing logos in the '70s and only started using ChatGPT from that point forward, logos would still look like the style of the '70s. Design will always require emotional feedback and a sentient mind to push things forward
Apr 10, 2023TTU'I see many posts expressing outrage at the alleged "ban" of ChatGPT by the Italian Data Protection Authority. The Garante sent a letter to OpenAI, like it's its job to do, in order to:
-Remind the company that we have EU privacy laws they seem to be in breach of
-Ask them to stop processing Italian's personal data (not to suspend the service) and
-Give them 20 days to respond and straighten themselves up.To which OpenAI decided (for their own reasons) to geoblock their service in Italy. Any petitions to bring the service back up should go to OpenAI, not to the Garante - thinking that a data protection authority has the power to shut down any company in less than 24 hours is quite unrealistic..."
