No, I was not aware. Loosely throwing cultural references at me and making no to little connections doesn’t help make a point though.

Cultural Marxism isn’t the same as cultural Bolshevism but cultural Marxism was used in a similar manner in context to Breivik. Is this the point you are making?

We still haven’t brought in Peterson but I’m going to try to read your mind so we can get this over with.

I think this is a very loose connection. Just because people share similar terminology and share a few view points doesn’t mean one reinforces the other.

idk if i’m missing something but i don’t see how any of that means that person wouldn’t just be a marxist as opposed to a “cultural” marxist. i don’t really even think that’s an actual school of thought and isn’t just a boogeyman label or used to discredit the frankfurt school which i also wouldn’t necessarily associate wit marx worship either

Just because it is a "boogy man" doesn't make it any less relevant. Especially in the academic circles for Peterson, where this is less controversial and still debated today. The whole reason Peterson got so popular was due to his refusal to compromise/self-censor

Nice one, kick a man while he's down.

His daughter had a post on IG explaining the situation.

He started taking benzos (xanax apparently) due to terrible anxiety caused by a reaction to food.

They upped his dose around the time his wife (whom he met when they were both teenagers), was diagnosed with terminal cancer.

He developed a physical dependency on benzos, and they started to have an effect whereby they do the opposite of their intended purpose, they made him more anxious, a paradoxical reaction.
He also had akathisia (whereby you feel restless constantly, you and you cannot sit still), so that coupled with the anxiety/dependency got so severe he started to feel suicidal.

You can't go cold turkey on benzos, the withdrawal will kill you.
But he also couldn't go about it slowly due to the side effects.

So he sought a last resort treatment, one that's not legal in the US or Canada, he needed to go to Russia.

He also had pneumonia, which they believe he contracted in hospital.

He's suffering from seizures, he can't walk unaided and he can't type.

Regardless of your feelings towards this man, you can't deny he has helped a tremendous amount of people (myself included), and that his intentions are nothing beyond good.
All he has done has been an attempt to make things better, it's from the goodness of his heart.

All I can say is at least he's still living, and I wish him all the best in his recovery.
