what can he actually do tho cus his term legally runs up in January

at best he'll make the transition as hard as possible for Biden's team but once Jan 20th hits, he literally wouldn't be president anymore and could easily be removed

  • Jun 12, 2020

I could see him trying to get a bunch of bills passed to make Biden’s life harder

With as much power as he currently has, and as incompetently as our government functions, I wouldn't put it past him to try for a power grab if he loses. Threatening to tell Russia the nuclear codes or something as leverage. Maybe the CIA + military are the primary defenders from this

    Not happening lol

He may b**** and moan about losing the election but at the end of the day I think he’ll just take the L and let Biden get inaugurated. Don’t think it’s worth risking his life trying to become a dictator seeing as secret service/military will easily get rid of him if it gets to that point

the CIA def doesn't support trump and would probably actively arrange some s*** if something like this happens. CIA has more power than virtually any branch of gov and is essentially autonomous

We might get a storm of tweets from his bunker

But seriously I think there's a less than likely, but significant nonetheless chance of him exploring these options, if Biden beats him

The thing about America is, no matter how powerful the president is there are too many other people in government who would get in his way that would make sure he doesn’t keep his power. Plus even though his base will worship him forever, regular conservatives would turn against him if he did that because it would be so blatantly anti democratic that even they couldn’t ignore it

My guy, Trump isn’t actually that unstable. Ion like the guy any more than u do, but u gotta understand, that media story abt him being an unstable ass power hungry neo-Hitler is exaggeration. He just as smart / stable as me or u, bro was just a business dude b4 this, remember?

I respect your opinion, but I don't agree with a single one of those points - except the part about him being a businessman before this

Biden and all these Democrats have talked at length about the crimes and atrocities Trump’s administration have committed but I would bet my life savings that not a single finger will be lifted by Biden to punish any of the main players in any way. If anything, if he’s independently prosecuted, I wouldn’t be surprised if Biden pardoned Trump on some Ford/Nixon “heal the nation” type s***

Absolutely no chance Biden pardons anyone involved in this administration. Its a goldrush for the next AG.

In regards to Trump and any possibility of a pardon, there's state charges sitting there from NY for the minute he gets booted that are unavoidable.

There's a 99% chance that he'll call the election a sham and say there was widespread "voter fraud" if he loses.

Of course. Already sowing the seeds for that narrative. Its the last plausible play.
