Huh? It's on Spotify and AM in the albums section just like NWTS. That's not gonna affect how people listen to the music 5 years later
Ok? The album doesnt even have any mainstream hits and wasnt marketed as an album. It's not one of drakes biggest releases because of that.
My perspective no one cares about: I was going to a university with 45k+ students for both TC and NWTS. TC definitely felt more like a moment in time. It was inescable through Christmas break. Everyone knew every single song off that record. It's still my favorite Drake album for purely nostalgia purposes.
But I think NWTS is better. It's more concise, more focused, the production is better, the raps are better, the flows and song structures are more diverse. It's a lot slower though. As much as TC gets a reputation for melodic melodrama, NWTS has way fewer songs that you might hear at a party. It really only has Started, Worst, and Language in the regular edition album.
The lead up to Take Care was insane.
Truly something that you just had to live through to fully comprehend.

The whole thing really felt like a coronation for Drake as the new leader of the game. So much so that Jay and Ye made an entire album together because they felt threatened by the kid.

I love Ye and I wish Wolves/Calabasas is the New Abu Dhabi came to fruition
But when you look back it's really insane just how much Ye was threatened by Drake. Going all the way back to him (allegedly) sabotaging the Best I Ever Had video
Even as a young teen I remember that video dropping with all the hype behind that song and the fact that Ye was directing and everyone collectively saying "fam "
