Hi I been getting into Obijuan and I was wondering if anyone could break down is eras (aka who is heavily inspiring him at each point such as divino from like 2020-23 and mach in his current era)

I heard some tracks on the grimm doza album and they sounded earl influenced but then I listened to bush mechanic which was earlier and it felt very similar to 2019 divino

also its crazy how well he's ripped mach off idk how yall havent talked about that more yet

He’s definitely a Mach fan, but it’s also not his fault they both like Wu-Tang and take pride in their island heritage. At least he stays in his lane and doesn’t try to charge Mach prices like divino.

You’re right, though, I guess the new stuff with the raspy voice does feel more overtly Mach, even some of the flows.

I don’t like the raspy voice. I didn’t love the mumbling but I still prefer it to the rasp. Doing the rasp on every song is overkill.
