Nah they assasinated Luke's character. Luke igniting his lightsaber in front of a sleeping child cause of a vision? cmon. Luke was the new hope and he had all the force ghosts teaching him for decades yet he just gives up? They did this so they could recreate that empire vs rebels s*** to have nostalgia bait. Imagine finishing episode 6 then getting to TLJ and seeing this crap. Makes no sense. There's some cool stuff in TLJ but it's ruined because it doesn't fit the grander story that they are supposed to be telling. But instead it feels like im watching a reboot

He had a moment of hesitation after damn near a decade of training Ben. That’s not character assassination. It humanizes him cause he’s not this all-curing Jedi Master that the expectations needed him to be.

He helped his father who was basically galactic hitler. Makes no sense that he would give up and run away. But they needed to have Luke lose and fail to explain TFA and why things are back to how they are in ANH with the rebels and empire dynamic. Thats why i dont like it, cause i can tell its forced.

pretending like Luke is this infallible character that wouldn’t make a grave mistake like he did out of the immeasurable fear of the next vader is next level delusional

Luke nearly killed his own father out of pure anger, you cannot convince me that just because he got his s*** together by the end of one narrative that over a period of 30 years he is a character who cannot have conflict & flaws within him.

It’s next level delusional cope and very telling to me that you are the kind of person who wanted the safest and most boring of Star Wars movies ever, you wanted the true boring bland milk toast SW with characters who have no conflict, no more to learn about/from and no more intrigue, period.

You wanted a cameo not a character

Literally every time someone has a force vision they freak the f*** out and do some dumb s***. but Luke shouldn't after seeing a nigga kill his life dreams because 30 years ago he stopped beating the f*** out of his dad when a evil ballsack started laughing and told him to kill him

you're the one coping right now. This storyline was forced. I'm cool with the idea of luke being a hermit failure but you gotta make it work. The reasoning they made was stupid imo and character assassination. If TLJ was a standalone movie it would be better but in the context of the skywalker saga it doesn't work. Watch this video at 11:11 and come back to me

Did you even read the article? he REGRETS voicing this criticisms - it doesn't mean he did a 180.

“I regret voicing my doubts & insecurities in public,” Hamill tweeted to his more than 2.2 million followers. “Creative differences are a common element of any project but usually remain private. All I wanted was to make good movie. I got more than that"

NONE of this negates his previous comments

I can link videos as well to support my argument

It’s very clear that you had to be told what to think to come to your opinion rather then form it on your own.

    Clone wars anakin
    Yoda
Ezra (Weird choice but i like his fighting style and the fact that he can control animals with the force was cold to me )
