Kinda mid show with a few really great moments. Definitely didn’t have that special magic that the originals, prequels, and rogue one have
Honestly this is facts. I feel like the general nature of Han's backstory could've been told a lot better episodically - basically going on various missions / adventures where he's getting hired out for jobs and making enemies / a name for himself as a smuggler. Annnnndddd I think Obi-Wan's story for this set of first interactions with Vader after ten years could've been captured way better with a high-budget movie.
Damn. They really fumbled that.
I did not know I wanted this until now
Are you presenting Kal as an alternative?
Because that wasn’t Kal Penn in the show, that was Kumail Nanjiani

W take
Very late but I’m only on Episode 3 rn haven’t been consistent but damn this is some mid. And actually “mid” not bad.
Didn’t read any reviews or anything/avoided this thread for the most part so I was going in blind
Like damn the balance between movie quality and typical tv series seems off at times, it works for Boba and Mando but here it feels awkward
Ewan is amazing but Obi-Wan seems very unsure and like finding himself. And not in a good way ig, like at times it felt he was just… there. I get he’s like a broken man at this point been thru a lot but idek
The Leia chase forest scene was the low point of how cheap this feels
And speaking of Leia they maybe could’ve used her a older actor or sum. It feels like a young girl playing a caricature of older Leia rather than just being a young Leia growing into that idk.
Villains. More inquisitors I guess that’s fun. They need to start giving us more interesting characters to care about villain wise because these random imperial villains are cool but kind of seem bland. Like I’m evil! Third Sister seems pissed off for no reason. Weird obsession with obiwan
After my first couple episodes I did watch RLM briefly to see what they said about their first few episodes but overall haven’t looked at too many outside opinions before I finish it but I imagine the sentiment my still be the same
Like overall the pacing felt way off and felt like no one was doing… anything or so little really happened.
We will see, still have 4 more episodes to go. Idk maybe a high budget film like Rogue One with just a one off might’ve worked better

Glad they brought Jimmy back for Organa.
Haven’t seen Hayden yet but Ik he’ll be coming back as Vader, we’ll see how he does.

When you finish the show some dude made a 2.5 hour cut of the show into a movie. It is linked in here on a page idk what one
People seemed to like it better than the show if you are compelled to watch it at all
Loved the last two episodes, the first four dragged though.
This whole series was definitely just fan service, but hard to imagine how it could have been much else. Been wanting it for soooo long though, so I can’t complain lol.
Never caught this
!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hofrEQPmvYPeople stay sleeping on Lucas and John Williams
Yo, I watched exactly one episode of this. Couldn’t find a human emotion in the whole thing. S*** felt like the little clips they play before theme park rides. Yeah. Not for me.
Someone took the show, edited it to a 2.5 hr movie, and apparently made it much better
Forget the CGI and writing but from a pacing and editing standpoint it’s apparently a vast improvement

Might watch this weekend
Gonna watch this tomorrow, good looks

Do you have to pay? Might plug my laptop into my TV and watch if not
LOL. This show was terrible
just watched this
last two episodes were good
i didn't mind the Leia stuff thought it was kinda cute her and Obi-Wan going around, added to the backstory of her, always wanted to see Alderaan more
honestly my biggest issue with this would be the way it was filmed, bigger shots like the order 66 flashbacks and the battles look really fan filmish which is insane to think about a company like Disney cheaping out on this series should be film level like Andor
lots of shaky cam and dimly lit scenes
the world building was pretty underwhelming besides that one Cyberpunk planet, rest of the planets were just dirt/rocks in these Disney + shows
the music was some of the most generic s*** ive ever heard in star wars
Reva, the Luke subplot & the bickering between the inquisitors all seemed unneeded and confusing
i'm not against Reva as a character or the inquisitors but I think that should have been a different show, having a show with Vaders & the inquisitors would be cool
story felt jarring and jumpy, just kinda feels like a mess
also Rebels spoiler but the scene where Obi is talking to Vader with his mask half busted open is a rip off of the Season 2 Finale like shot for shot but Rebels did it better
nothing in this show feels original lol
