baby dont cry would be a top 10 pac song if it was a solo song with a couple more pac verses.

It definitely would be up there, for sure. Pac always had a tendency to let the Outlawz have a feature on a lot of his songs. Even though I love the Makaveli album, I wish Pac would've had a few more solo songs on there, instead of always getting an Outlawz feature, lol
A part of me always wished Hail Mary would've been 3 Pac verses. Still a classic though.

The OG of this particular song didnt have the outlawz on it he just didnt finish it.

for sure he let the outlawz get on way too many songs tbh lol. Think hail mary one of the few tracks where I actually like all of the verses from the outlawz on.
think they worked well on those hard diss/war type tracks. they played the solider role well. they just really couldn't keep up or have anything of worth to say when pac would get deep.

!https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Z1WECexuSo&ab_channel=8uLleTpRooFyeah i know this just a shame we didn't get a full solo version. pac had a couple of demos from the makaveli era i wished he finished. he really was still evolving as a writer when he passed.

Amazing thank you! Peep the thread, I uploaded the slides from the lesson.
Kids loved it and were blown away. They’re now demanding to be taught REAL history. The kids were so passionate about social justice and stuff. Extremely heartwarming tbh and, cringey as it sounds, it gives you hope for future generations coming through. Kids these days seem to be ready to stand up and get behind real change.

Siiiiick, will check it out. Dont mean to be a pessimist but i feel the whole ‘future generation are gonna change things’ is just part of a cycle, cos they were saying the same s*** when we were at school lol. Then the system drains us and we become disillusioned and disinterested cos we feel we have no actual choice lmao hope im wrong though

Nah I feel you. I know I’m soeaking from a narrow, localised perspective but kids these days seem to give a f*** about politics and social issues more than we did. I really think it’s the generations older than us with seats in power that f*** everything up.
We shall see though.
I expect to see some major paradigm shifts in our lifetime personally.

Yeah ngl they seem more clued on to things at a much earlier age. Thanks to the internet/information age being expanded massively to the point of necessity, aswell as the globalisation of politics
Might listen to S4MN. Been a minute since I played that. It’s aged a lot but that’s part of the appeal.
MATW, TDK, AEOM definitely top 3 though. I feel like Pac was yet to drop his definitive classic though. We would definitely have at least 4 more classics to be eatin from had he not been taken from us.
My favourite Pac moment:
He was special af. The older I get the more I am blown away by how young he was. I used to watch this vid as a kid thinking he was much older.

This man was brought up around panthers and future political prisoners. They don’t make em like this anymore, serious threat to the system!

To me, I think "Me Against The World" was Pac's definitive classic. That was everything a Tupac album should be. The beats, rhymes, content, flow and delivery were all A+
But I do agree that Pac would've definitely given us more classic albums if he were still alive. He was only getting better and better before he got killed, the Makaveli album proved that. Just imagine how much better of an artist and lyricist he would've been at age 26, 27, 28, 29, etc....
