We like to think of this as the Maps director’s cut; it’s not necessarily better than the theatrical version, but it is different, and it arguably more clearly articulates the artists’ vision for the project. There are two more songs, the song order is different, and Serengeti makes a guest appearance that substantively changes a third song, all the way down to it’s title. This a 2XLP in a gatefold jacket with an insert, and a 40 page lyric book all gorgeously illustrated by m. musgrove, including Backwoodz's first-ever vinyl etching on Side D. The deluxe version of Maps is exclusive to Backwoodz Studioz direct orders and will not be available anywhere else. Purchase from Backwoodz includes digital download delivered on street date.

NunTheWiserDude I legit can’t afford vinyl anymore living in Canada when it isn’t from a local shop. I was gonna grab Maps and Spirit Roaming too while I was at it and it was gonna be $150 after shipping and exchange rate

Woe is me, just wish Canada would get treatment UK fans get when they have their own webstore set up specific for them. I know that would be a pain for a lot of smaller artists though

Yeah he has another one that's an actual full-fledged novel. Should be coming this year hopefully but no confirmation as of yet. Called 'Let the Dead Bury the Dead'.

Are you looking just at the Backwoodz site? The standard Maps vinyl should be available more widely. It's just the deluxe that is through the site only.

I'm sorry that happened. Maybe the Adele vinyl shortage f***ed him up. You tried reaching out on socials? Sometimes it can be effective. I saw something recently about a Griselda weed carrier doing this s***, they f***ing the game all up. I know when I purchase a vinyl it could be up to a year. Jesus Is King was the release that taught me this lesson.

Anybody know what “the car trap” refers to across woods’ discog? Always assumed it was a tracker but was relistening to Aethiopes and the way he mentions it on Christine (“some had the trap in the trunk of the beamer” vs keeping the rocks up front to eat them) makes me think it’s some sort of rigged explosive
