Literally just finished it. Can’t believe I haven’t really checked for him before. He’s someone I’ve always meant to check out since his sound is the type I like. But this made me wanna check out the rest of his stuff. What would you say are his other essentials?

Yes bro as far as essentials, I’d recommend History Will Absolve me and Dour Candy. But definitely just go through his discog when you can.

    Have you checked Armand Hammer?

His whole discography is a masterpiece from start to finish. Some of the best writing you'll find and varied, unique production.

All worth digging through. Today I Wrote Nothing and Terror Management are looser in structure. Known Unknowns and Dour Candy were done with the same producer and are both great. History Will Absolve Me is great, bit of a tougher listen tho I would say.

Make sure to check out Armand Hammer's work. Thats him and ELUCID. Shrines, Paraffin, Rome and Furtive Movements are must listens.

Went through Shrines and picked out my favorite bars for another thread.
    Might as well repost here:

Niggas predictable, they go left but can’t finish

I heard ass taste better in the summertime

It started as a lesson of achieving dreams and reaching fantastical heights
Ended with us watching the Challenger rocket smoldering on the black and white
Flame licked flame, like lovers do
Feelings bum rush logic, tend to tumble through, pardon who

    The leper'll tell you straight
Family and friends'll lie to your face
    Lie to the last day
Lie after that while you molder in the grave

Pac blood, one sip, a rapper could beat all his cases
In this side-scrolling, 8-bit bullet hell, I'm patient

Ritual smoke fumed above the tomb
Ain't no white witch b**** here on nobody broom

Even the haters ain’t want it to be this bad

I got ideals and dreams that don't work in practice
I got a time machine and it don't go backwards

Auntie had the JC Penny Timex flooded with rhinestones

Laughing, lucky I made it back alive with just the shakes
Still feel the rounds flying past my face

Dusty feet beat streets with the breeze to their back
Some things you just can't leave in the past
They follow you home like skinny dogs separated from the pack
Toss another bone in the valley, they gnash

    My mother used to say
A bad penny finds its own way to hell
They lovingly fashion they own crosses
Beg me to drive the nails

Negros say, "let’s stick together" then make funny moves
Black is beautiful brother, but it ain’t super glue

Did Jay actually listen to D'Evils?
Or did he just skim through it?
I took the Shyne to ‘em and turned Jewish

All personal taste. Between us we all got different faves. Personally I'm partial to Paraffin the most.

    Glad you're enjoying it

It was my easy favorite until I listened to Paraffin way more... now I have no favorite great artists do that, it’s the same with Ka and Roc, who have 0 bad projects

Emergency Powers and Indonesia are really good, I liked those two a lot. But in general when listening to Super Chron, Privilege has an annoying ass voice and flow that can get tiring really fast

Yeah I listened to all of them.

Everybody should check out billy's greatest hits (cowardly threats & hideous cruelty) whenever they get a chance. It has all of the best The Reavers/Super Chron tracks

Flavor Flav man. Such a powerful song. Two 10/10 verses. So blessed we get these guys solo, let alone as a duo, and they're arguably even better together. Rare thing

So many great woods features but this one is definitely up there

    One of my faves:

I'm older than my father when he had me
Not sure if that means I'm doing well or more badly
