Messiah Muzik gotta be the most underrated producer. Shocked I've never really seen him in credits outside of Backwoodz stuff. Just now learnt he did 'Seizure' for Rome Streetz.
Looking through his credits now and got so many of my favourite beats:
Hyssop, The Eucharist, Windhoek, Ecomog, Carnies, Warmachines, Cloisters, Soft Places, etc...
Crazy list
that list is stuuuupid. I don’t check/remember production credits for woods/AH s*** enough. They link with such interesting producers.
billy woods stans are people I would more than anything love to meet and spend some time with. you just know they're your type of people even tho they're for sure gonna be super different from you

Same here. I was thinking the same bout Ka fans, and if/when he ever does another in-person album release, that’d be a good opportunity for a meet up
Elucid's project with The Lasso coming soon it would seem. Know they've been working on this a good while now.

Let's go
Noname is very outspoken about her politics and has a book club so people can educate themselves more about the world we live in.
i definitely agree with her stances on politics and understand that we should all try to educate ourselves more about these things.
I see that ELUCID is anti capitalist as well and billy woods even though hasn't said his political stances it can be understood that he is very critical of it too, im not a fan of the Noname music and wouldn't say i listen to her music.
but i listen to billy and elucid and wanted to know what you guys think about these things, it would be very interesting conversation i guess, also she was a pro capitalist person just some year ago and she educated herself to be better but such a fast change in views kinda feels weird but guess everybody has to start some where.
what are your a***ysis of Armand hammer, billy and elucid material and their political content and what do you think about there stances?

Can you specify your question? I agree it'd be an interesting topic

As in just a general conversation about their politics whether you agree or not.
I personally found elucid very radical and influential to me when i forst heard him. Also the pitchfork article about him introduced me to anti capitalism and i do definitely support that.
But the recent noname thing makes me question how many people are really smart and willing to understand and discuss these things and not just believe everything from Twitter and tumblr.
There is no healthy conversation that i have seen about this as a whole anywhere

Your question feels a little muddy still to me tbh.
I'll just say that people being willing to change their views is important. It is the result of acquiring knowledge and thinking critically. The antithesis to identity politics and something anti-intellectualism currently rails against.
In terms of woods and ELUCID, their political stances are pretty self-evident. woods is an extremely intelligent guy and I empathise a lot with his embers of hope quelled by cynicism.
I wish when I had met ELUCID that I had asked him about whether his views on political disengagement had changed. It wasn't something I was aware of at the time. But its very interesting to me since, of course in light of 2016.
He expressed that in this article: pitchfork.com/thepitch/elucid-tried-to-warn-us
I understand the temptation to resign oneself to withdrawal from the formal political sphere. Its certainly a feeling I've had and acted upon in the past. But I no longer see it as the most successful endgame, I wonder if his opinion has changed too.
Overall though, they all, and most informed and reflective people, will find common ground in how we perceive the nature of things. Its just the framework to work through that which is where differences can be uncovered.

Oh i thought it was something political that I wouldn't understand, lol.

Billy is really good at making fun of the pull up yourself by the bootstrap logic. He constantly mocks and describes how stupid it is for someone with privilege to say it to a person who faces systematic and institutionalised oppression.

Hope all's good bro. Always been a pleasure chatting with you and welcome back anytime. Always be your thread
That said, am not sure how to switch it over either tbh
But will keep it alive for sure (same goes for the KA thread).

You as well man! Yeah that'd be great. Not sure how long it'll take for my s*** to be deleted, but I guess we'll see.
