Indian Summer is such an ALC beat

    One listen in

None of the beats steal the show from the rappers anywhere. Alchemist produced albums sometimes outshine the MC at times, like in both freddie and boldys case. But on Haram I never felt that the production is outshining the rappers, idk if it just average beats or that I have to listen it on a better sound system lol.

@vanity we gotta bump this when it drops !!!
There’s a Earl Sweatshirt feat as well.

Earl on the lowkey reggae-esque production was tight, not top-tier Earl but solid as always. Overall this was kinda lowkey tbh I need to give it another listen on my better speakers

Really liked the Billy and Elucid performances throughout tho

Im not enjoying all the beats on this tbh. Some of them are incredible like black sunlight, roaches don't fly, falling out the sky(the best one),stonefruit (wish elucid rapped normally on it),aubergine but the rest are just too pedestrian for me. The rapping is excellent though

I don’t like rating albums anymore because how I feel about em when they drop is usually very different from months down the line. Of course there’s the rare case that is a classic from the get go like Alfredo but I really don’t know how I feel about this album after one listen

Yeah I hated Paraffin off the first listen then it took time for me to digest what was going on with it. It was my introduction to an entire microcosm of rap that was in a completely different field. It's like listening to an esoteric artist like Bladee, Kray, JXX, or Lil B. You have to really sit there with it, dig into the subculture, or stretch your brain a good bit if you're being introduced into a new sphere.

That's why I usually have to sit with something long enough before I can really form a thought around it, but sometimes a hit is a hit.
