Its quite weird that billy woods would let that pass with spelling and other mistakes. Considering how much he likes English and well written things.

Agreed, but considering the amount of higher order s*** he has to do as his own label-head, it’s plausible for things like this to slip I guess

But damn I wish it was done better

Hmm, gonna have to think on it. Have it ready for podcast no. 2

I hope my theory is accurate simply because I think as an interpretation its way more heavy and powerful than the commonly gone to one.

    That better mean you’re attending

I also hope so. It really is, and you fully convinced me of it lol

Definitely tweet woods—I’m sure he’d entertain the theory

I know the red dust verse is about a guy but these lines on Gilgamesh are pretty interesting

Red rope, hope your name's on the list
Angels on the pen, blunts in the fist

Here he is talking about a old lover

I have to listened to all billy woods albums, and even though I still like hiding places. Now I feel like it's his easiest album lyrically he isn't as coded as his other projects. Maybe it might be because i have listened to it more. But something brass has really very different level cryptic qualities

Yeah I get what you're saying. Its not necessarily easy lyrically, but its more grounded and accessible from that standpoint. There are still a bunch of historical and political references that require some figuring out though.

But yeah, from Terror Management up till Brass, certainly agree his writing was often more opaque. While his writing on Haram feels like a companion piece to Hiding Places at times.

The opening verse on on sir benni miles is so different, I mean its still cryptic and I dont i have it all figured out. But it is way easier to understand individual lines and the verse within the song, it's not like I had to google things just to understand it.

As for the part you mentioned about historical and political references, I have made peace with the fact that I won't ever all thar woods has to say on a verse.

At the same ELUCID feels more and more cryptic each time as in whole verses. His lines on paraffin are some times easier and get you hooked. Rhythmic flow of his is grest as well. Sometimes its really hard to understand what they are saying and don't criticize myself for not understanding. As its still enjoyable musically

Listened to Rome for the first time today dannng son, honestly think this could end up one of my favs by them, I still have yet to revisit Paraffin tho.

2017 Mach and pre-Veteran JPEG on the same album is so fkn wild, and they are both organic fits too
