to the big CH fans in here what are your thoughts on Shaleik going off on facebook recently about CH basically wasting his talents making bad music and that ppl need to quit hyping up this "not good music" and that he should get back to writing again...I mean I think CH should do what makes him happy but at the same time I have to agree I miss that old Charles that actually had good mixing and sounded coherent whereas a lot of his stuff now if it's even listenable sounds like rambling freestyles rather than well thought out and put together songs

On this topic I always think about Charles Republic run and how unhappy Charles was.

I remember reading on one of Charles blog about a episode he had days before Hamilton, Charles dropped along with a bunch of other problems, scenarios, etc.

and one of the main reasons he went through all of that was because people kept telling him to "get that money" or make better music

I love Charles but that Hamilton, Charles album was bad. The label clearly didnt understand the appeal of CH so I can't put the blame on him but when we have people like kendrick putting out great albums in the mainstream and people like Freddie Gibbs, Jpegmafia, Earl, Tyler in underground that "sellout" excuse is just that, an excuse.

I actually liked the Hamlton, Charles album for what it was just wish he was able to do his own production on there...I'm not suggesting he go mainstream but there's a clear difference in quality from his tapes with Ski/Pink Lavalamp/This Perfect Life and the largely incoherent ramblings we get now on tracks that just don't sound very good...of course there's exceptions just seems like he chose quantity over quality at a certain point and never looked back...Mickey Factz replied to that same Shaleik post saying he was concerned about Charles and last he heard he was in jail so it's not even coming from a place of talking s***...as for Charles being a weirdo whenever he interacts with whoever on social media that's on Charles...he's gotten help before for his psychological issues and probably should continue getting help with that but it's really nobody else's fault that he can't interact with other artists on social media without going to "I'm going to slice my wrists...me and 9th are dating...Eminem is my best friend" type s***

I will say Charles isn't oblivious to the reception of his music.

I think he knows his current works are more suited for the hardcore fans

And he's been trying to get albums from the Hamiltonization Process on stream sites. It's, Intervention, well isn't this awkward, L word, My Brain is Alive, Normalcy
(Hopefully Autumn Harvest stays up on the 22nd)

Also his features with Serious Truth has a clean and quality based sound the older/casual listeners appreciate.
